Patas Perdidas
A way back home for the animals of Guatemala City.

A dog showed up in the neighborhood. Three days walking alone, hungry, confused. Too gentle to have been born on the street. Someone had him in a home. Someone let him go. Patas Perdidas starts with him.
Why this site exists
When we found the first dog, we looked for help. There was no one to call. No clear page. No number that answered. This site exists so that does not happen to you.
In Guatemala City there is nowhere to report a lost animal, a found animal, or an injured animal that needs help. That is what we are building.
What we do
We rescue abandoned dogs and cats, take them to the vet, sterilize them, and care for them in foster homes until we find them a family. The long-term goal is a permanent shelter. This is the first step.
Report an animal
You find an animal on the street and write to us on WhatsApp. We answer. Really.
Foster and adopt
A temporary home while an animal waits for a family, or a family for good.
Sterilize
It is the surest way for fewer animals to end up on the street.
Where the money goes
First phase goal: Q30,000, about $4,000. This is the first phase goal, not the cost of a permanent shelter.
